What is an AI marketing engineer?

An AI marketing engineer builds and improves systems that use AI for marketing work. The role combines content, SEO and customer understanding with models, retrieval, APIs, automation and checks on output quality.

BuildAI Careers teaches this work through 6 weeks, 30 live hours, 2 instructors and 2 capstone projects.

Bring your marketing experience

You know the work.
Learn how AI can help.

Start with the fundamentals and work through practical examples. You'll learn how a system finds information, uses a model and checks its output.

You can then apply those ideas to briefs, articles, research and the search work you already understand.

  • Content writers and editors

Build a repeatable process for research, drafting and review.

  • SEO professionals

Use AI for SEO, understand retrieval and AI search, and learn ways to monitor your content.

  • Digital marketers

Apply AI in digital marketing and connect models to useful marketing automation workflows.

Your six-week curriculum

Understand it.
Build with it.

Download Curriculum

Learn the engineering concepts through the marketing problems they help solve. Each week combines live teaching with practical work.

WEEK 01

Understand how language models work

LLMs, transformers, tokens and model behaviour

  • Understand what a large language model (LLM) does and how transformers use context.
  • Explore tokens, context windows and why the same question can produce different answers.
  • Recognise hallucinations and check an answer against its source.
Put it into practice

Compare model responses to a marketing brief. Identify useful answers, missing evidence and errors.

Led by Gaurav S

WEEK 02

Give AI the right information

Embeddings, RAG, retrieval and AI citations

  • Use embeddings: numerical representations that help a system find related text.
  • Understand retrieval-augmented generation (RAG): finding source material before generating an answer.
  • Prepare documents, retrieve relevant passages and check citations.
Put it into practice

Create a small marketing knowledge collection and use it to answer questions with source references.

Led by Gaurav S

WEEK 03

Apply AI to content and SEO

AI in digital marketing, AI search and research-led content

  • Understand how AI search changes the way people discover content.
  • Research a topic, assess sources and find information that adds value.
  • Turn evidence into a useful brief and review a draft for accuracy and voice.
Put it into practice

Build a research-led content brief with a source list and a clear editorial review checklist.

Led by Rahul Pandita

WEEK 04

Connect models, tools and workflows

AI agents, APIs, MCP and harness engineering

  • Understand APIs: the interfaces that let software systems exchange information.
  • Explore agents that use tools, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) for connecting AI applications to tools and data.
  • Learn harness engineering: the instructions, context, tools and checks around a model that help it complete a task.
  • Set approval points, inspect failures and evaluate a workflow's output.
  • Protect API keys with environment variables, recognise unsafe inputs and handle API rate limits.
Put it into practice

Connect a model to a sample marketing workflow and test what happens when a tool fails.

Led by Gaurav S

WEEK 05

Build an AI content engine

Research, drafting, source checks and review

  • Bring a brief, source collection and drafting steps into one repeatable workflow.
  • Check factual claims and preserve the intended tone.
  • Add human review before publication and document how the system works.
Put it into practice

Build your content-engine project, test it on a sample brief and improve it after review.

Led by Rahul Pandita & Gaurav S

WEEK 06

Build, connect and review

SEO monitoring, email automation and project integration

  • Build an SEO monitoring workflow that organises changes and findings for review.
  • Follow a guided email-automation build using sample data and a review step before sending.
  • Connect the components, troubleshoot failures and present your projects.
Put it into practice

Demonstrate your SEO monitoring system and content engine. Explain their inputs, checks and failure handling.

Led by Rahul Pandita & Gaurav S

The work you'll build

Capstone projects.

A message from your mentors

Think of AI like a car. Knowing how to drive it is useful. Understanding what is happening under the bonnet helps you work out what to do when something goes wrong.

Prompt engineering was the big thing. Now we are talking about AI agents and harness engineering. In 2027, it will be something else. In 2028, something else.

How about you learn the fundamentals on which the big buildings of AI are built?

If you don't understand the fundamentals and only know how to use Claude, Codex or ChatGPT, you will be like 100 other people.

But if you understand the fundamentals, security, environment variables, RAG, rate limiting and how these systems work, you will have an edge. That's how you work towards being in the top 1% of content marketers, digital marketers or SEOs.

We always recommend: don't go for shortcuts. Study hard for two months, and then you will see the results :)

Before you join

Frequently asked questions.

I'm a content writer, not a programmer. Is this course for me?

Yes. This course is specifically designed for content writers, SEO professionals and digital marketers who want to develop AI engineering skills.

You don't need a computer science degree or previous programming experience.

We start with the fundamentals and gradually introduce technical concepts through practical examples. You'll learn how to build AI-powered marketing systems without having to become a full-time software developer.

How is this different from the AI courses available on YouTube?

Most AI tutorials teach you how to use a particular tool. We teach you how the technology behind those tools works.

You'll understand LLMs, RAG, embeddings, AI agents, APIs and harness engineering. You'll then apply these concepts to real marketing problems.

Our goal is to help you understand why a system works, how to build one and what to do when it fails.

What is the AI Marketing Engineering course fee?

The AI Marketing Engineering course fee is ₹9,500, including applicable taxes. Ask a course advisor for payment details and the next batch dates.

Who are the instructors?

Rahul has successfully made the transition from content writer to AI marketing engineer. With 15 years in marketing, he understands your work and teaches you how to apply AI to content, research and SEO.

Gaurav is a Lead FDE working with multinational clients. He brings 15 years of IT experience, including roles at HCL, Accenture, HP and Wipro, to his hands-on teaching.

That is what makes this course different. You get the best of both disciplines: practical marketing experience and AI engineering expertise in one programme.

There are AI courses for ₹100 and free videos. Why should I pay ₹9,500?

Free tutorials can be a useful way to learn a tool. If you want to write an article with Claude, make a presentation with Gamma or try building an application with Codex, there is plenty you can learn for free.

This course teaches the foundations behind those tools. You'll understand how language models work, how AI systems retrieve information, how agents interact with tools and how to test a system when it fails.

You'll apply that knowledge to content, research, SEO and marketing workflows in live classes with instructors from both marketing and AI engineering.

Models and tools will change. Understanding the technology gives you a way to assess new tools and build on what you already know. That's the value of the ₹9,500 course.

What are the class timings and course duration?

The course includes 30 live hours over 6 weeks, plus hands-on exercises. Ask about weekday and weekend batch timings.

What is an AI marketing engineer?

An AI marketing engineer builds and improves systems that use AI for marketing work. The role combines content, SEO and customer understanding with models, retrieval, APIs, automation and checks on output quality.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. BuildAI Careers provides a course completion certificate. The course includes practical assignments and two capstone projects to help you demonstrate what you have learned.

Is there placement or job support?

Yes. The course includes placement assistance, resume review and interview preparation. You will also get guidance on presenting your projects and explaining your work to employers.

Are recordings available if I miss a class?

Yes. Class recordings are included, so you can revisit a lesson or catch up after a missed session. Use the recordings alongside the practical assignments and ask your mentors about anything you need help with.

What is the refund policy?

Refund eligibility depends on the programme start date and the sessions already delivered. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 business days, subject to payment-provider processing. Registration fees, third-party exam fees and custom corporate deposits are generally non-refundable unless agreed in writing. Read the refund policy before enrolling.

When does the next batch start?
